I've been part of the project since 2006, predominantly engaged in activities within the Portuguese Wikipedia community, where I hold roles as a sysop, bureaucrat, and member of the Bot Approval Group.
My interest quickly gravitated towards the technical aspects of the projects, leading me to develop bots, gadgets, and engage in data processing.
As a founding member of Wikimedia Portugal, I currently hold the position of board chair. Since 2009, I've actively participated in various initiatives promoting free knowledge, open culture, and FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software)."
Since its establishment, I've been passionate about Biquipedia, the Wikipedia project in Mirandese, where I've served as a sysop.
Using Wikimedia Projects as a platform to language preservation, I'm involved in the curation of Mirandese lexemes to wikidata, and phonetic records, wishing to replicate this into other minorized languages.
Post-2020, my commitment to preserving minority languages has deepened, extending beyond Biquipedia. I took part in organizing the Porto Meeting, a conference focused on Iberian minority language projects.
